What we offer:
* A rigorous academic program, supporting all students to meet or exceed grade level standards
* A customized approach with Occupational Therapy, Articulation Instruction, and frequent breaks built into our schedule for ALL students. We additionally partner with contracted service providers (speech/language, OT, behavior therapy and social skills) as needed by individual students.
* August 2026 - May 2027 - We are expanding to offer Kindergarten through 5th grade, at two Newtown campuses, which students can attend FOR FREE using state scholarship funds.
* Teacher qualifications - Star Lab seeks the world's best teachers who are committed to our students and their families, and deeply knowledgeable about curriculum and instructional practices. Additionally, we work to build school capacity with teaching assistant positions that provide valuable experience and training. Teachers demonstrate proficiency with a combination of formal educational training (B.A. or M.A.), teaching experience, and specialized knowledge.
Families, please note that a parentally placed private school student with a disability does not have an individual right to receive some or all of the special education and related services that the student would receive if enrolled in a public school under the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA), as amended. Star Lab will work with each family to design a program that best meets your child's needs within our available resources.
